Project Overview

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is carrying out this Study for the proposed improvements to the Highway 23 and Perth Line 20 Intersection, Russeldale in the Municipality of West Perth, which is shown in the key plan below.

The existing intersection of Highway 23 and Perth Line 20 is stop-controlled on the sideroads and the existing Highway 23 northbound and southbound approaches to the intersection have a right-turn lane. Collisions have been identified as a concern at the intersection. As such, MTO has commenced this Study to investigate alternatives to improve the operations, safety, geometry, and capacity of the intersection.

The Study will evaluate alternatives and make recommendations for intersection improvements, considering options for traffic signals or a roundabout.
